EMA Receives Coveted ESRI Foundation Partner Award
EMA, Inc., an innovative management and technology consulting firm based in St. Paul, MN, has received the coveted ESRI Foundation Partner Award, recognizing the firm for helping ESRI customers establish a strong foundation on which to build a stable, sustainable Geographic Information Systems (GIS) enterprise. The award was presented at the 2004 ESRI Business Partner Conference in Palm Springs, CA.
The Foundation Partner Award is given to recognize the business partner that has consistently built a strong, dependable relationship with ESRI, one of the “foundations” on which ESRI’s Business Partner Program is built. “This is a great honor for EMA,” said George Mathes, CEO of EMA. “ESRI has been such an important part of our success in helping clients use GIS to optimize performance. It has been a great partnership for many years. It’s nice to be recognized for what we do every day.”
GIS is computer software that links geographic information (where things are) with descriptive information (what things are). Unlike a flat paper map where “what you see is what you get”, a GIS can present many layers of different information to offer a more complete picture. ESRI (formerly Environmental Systems Research Institute) was formed in 1969 to improve the use of resources through better information management. The Redlands, CA, company is now the world leader in GIS technology.
In its consulting practice, EMA combines strategy and implementation expertise, proven business process models, best work practices, consulting and IT integration services, and subject matter expertise with ESRI software to address clients’ mission-critical business needs. These business-driven solutions help organizations to increase revenues, reduce costs, improve productivity and customer satisfaction, leverage information assets and technology, and improve resource management.
EMA has successfully implemented and integrated many different kinds of systems – work management, enterprise resource planning, mobile dispatch and field systems, customer service and billing, and many others – with ESRI software.
